This boa was imported
into the U.S. in 1994 as a baby. She was totally black as if she had been
spray-painted, her belly is fire orange in color. As a baby no saddles were
visible, as she has aged her color had faded slightly and we can now see faint
outlines of her saddles. She has the constant iridescence of a rainbow boa and
her scales are very tight, giving her a smooth feel similar to that of a green
anaconda The past two years (with no male caged with her) she ovulated and
threw slugs. As of this writing she is gravid. We bred her to our most
outstanding albino male. We cannot wait to see if this great
BLACK boa proves genetic.
