WESTERN DIAMOND-BACKED RATTLESNAKE Crotalus atrox Baird & Girard, 1853 STATUS: Common DOCUMENTED COUNTIES: Collin, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise HABITAT: Western Cross Timbers, Mesquite Grand Prairie, Cedar-limestone Hills, and Rolling Plains COMMENTS: The diamond-backed rattlesnake is still fairly common in the Cedar-limestone Hills of Dallas County. |
