MILKSNAKE Lampropeltis triangulum (Lacepede, 1788) STATUS: Rare DOCUMENTED COUNTIES: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Parker, Rockwall, and Tarrant HABITAT: Fort Worth Prairie, Mesquite Grand Prairie, Blackland Prairie, and the Trinity River Bottoms SUBSPECIES: Louisiana Milksnake L. t. amaura Cope, 1860 COMMENTS: The Louisiana milksnake has most commonly been found during the months of April and May. |
