The specimen above is a pale specimen from Mt. Glorious, Queensland.


This is a neonate specimen, locality unknown.
This usually nocturnal snake should be considered dangerous. It superficially resembles the common Freshwater Snake or Keelback (Tropidonophis mairii - a harmless colubrid)and grows to about 1 metre long. Females gives birth to an average of about 10 live young possibly every second year. It is generally regarded as an agressive species.
