Geographic variation is evident in most specimens of Gray-banded kingsnakes. Whether its coloration, head shape, or one of several other charachteristics, there is definite variance. In fact while they may be similar, no two snakes are ever alike in pattern. |
Great attempt has been made to verify these photographs by locality and photographers. Thanks go out to Dan Johnson, Gerry Salmon, Joe Forks, Troy Hibbitts, Damon Salcieies and many other photographers for opening their archives to me. Photographs of specimens in this image gallery go back 30 years in some cases. |
