This map is not all inclusive.  The dots represent only the parishes that the species was referenced by in Rossman and Dundee's book The Amphibians and Reptiles of Louisiana, (1989).  The inclusion of any other Parish is from my personal experience or that of other trusted collectors.  The dots are not arranged to indicate the region of the Parish that the species is found.  It only represents the fact that it has occured there.  All of the racers in Louisiana intergrade where they meet and it is difficult to tell exactly where the boundaries are.  This map is a rough estimate, using the field guide Reptiles and Amphibians by Conant and Collins as a reference.
