This map is not 100% acurate. Elaphe obsoleta occurs
statewide and there is a wide zone of integration in central and
north central Louisiana and it is difficult to draw a difinitive
line anywhere. This map is a rough estimate, using the
field guide Reptiles and Amphibians by Conant and Collins
as a reference. Differences from that map are reflexions of
personal experience of Mike Monlezun.
