I grab my hook... I grab my bags... I grab my rubbermaids... gone herping never know what herp species I may find ?? gone herping makes me feel alive.. lifting rocks to sheets of tin... climbing moutains to stomping through the mud on the river bank... gone herping from dusk to dawn all summer long... You'll know where ill be ... gone herping ill see you in november.....

Mr Tegu out for some sun... with a flick of his tongue turns and goes in his burrow... I will see you in spring after a long winters over... till I return flicking my tongue again good bye and good night..
ive been told im passionate about herps since I was a kid. some of my thoughts.? first thing is invasive species florida has had invasive species forever is not a new problem lets just pin up a target species burmese pythons well in my words IF ANIMALS ARE SURVIVING FLORIDAS WINTERS AT 30 DEGREES THEN LEAVE THEM THE HELL ALONE ... NATURE AND THE EARTH BEEN DEALING WITH INVASIVE SPECIES SINCE MAN WAS PUT ON THIS GREAT EARTH .... Im just another crazy herper thank god we have so many great herpers like kingsnake.com and USark....

snappy snap snap snapping turtle walking on the bottom of pond ....looking like a bulldozer plowing through the mud... with a streach of the neck your nostrils break the waters surface...air...then down you go plowing around the pond bottom snappy snap snap snapping turtle... you move by shore...with a grab of your tail pulled out... wondering what ruined your day....its just a human...snappy snap snap snapping turtle .... you snap the hand and you are dropped back in the water....snappy snap snap snapping turtle ...your at peace again back in the water... How would you feel if your picked up by your butt ?.... snappy snap snap snapping turtle plowing around the bottom of pond.... so peaceful snappy snap snap

old Mr box turtle walking slowly throughout the woods ... When predators threaten you... You close your shell tight ..... When dangers gone , you pop out to wander again... what a wonderful life being old mr box turtle...

normal days are no more...because of scales its all im thinking... I go to the grocery store normal uh ? herp minded to buy turkey burger , bananas and grapes not for me.... driving home I see a nice creek and rocky scene...do I stop to look at natures beauty ...no I stop to lift rocks and explore the creek ...to find that special herp.. what may i find ... herp minded . going to walmart is a treat ...Im very fond of the rubbermaid container section... looking and seeing things I can use for herps that non herpers dont see... they see a box to put papers ...I see a great home for cornsnakes... this is my curse Im glad to have ...And to my herper friend we are special and so are scales ...

everyone wonders how people see them... over the years Ive tried to change me but it just dont work .. One day I received a poster with lizards from kids I shared my passion for herps you cant shut me up ... Ive been told Im the silent type but talk about herps ... nothing can stop me ...the other day I learned another great thing .. my daughter was writting just like me.. these are her words “ my dad is special he is a lizardman and I hope to be like him” These words from her is the greatest award.. I do this for the the herps and like to share my passion for them so Im happy to say Im happy to be Hero to young minds that grow.. Maybe into future lizardmen and lizardwomen .

tegu story.. Mr tegu walking in the forest looking for some grub... yummy birds eggs with a flick flick flick with the tongue .. mouth opens one after another the eggs go... Mr tegu now full ...finds a nice big rock in the sun... the sun feels so good Mr tegu yawns and returns home to his burrow.... Mr tegu sleeps and will return another day...

waiting lizard wait for them waking up in march... wait for them to breed.... wait for eggs.. wait for eggs to hatch... wait wait and some more ... mr tegu I will wait for you... I suggest a name change from tegu to waiting lizard..
